FRANKLIN’S FANTASIC FOUR WINS EARNS IT A SECOND STRAIGHT PLAYOFF BERTH

Keith Ford threw a 17 yard scoring pass to Jamal Jones and rushed for a 42 yard TD; Carl Fleming ran for scores of 10 and 49 yards; Ron Greene scored on a 64-yard run, and Ryan Mays, on a 71-yard punt return as Franklin routed Baltimore County 4A-3A League rival Dulaney, 39-14, before a homecoming
crowd on Friday night.

Lior Kheiman kicked three extra points for the Indians, who led by as much as, 26-0, at halftime, and 32-0, in the third quarter of their fourthstraight victory after having lost four consecutive games.

Franklin (6-4) entered the game trailing county 4A-3A League rivals Hereford (10-0) and Catonsville (6-4) in the race for one of the top four berths into the Class 3A North Region playoffs.

Hereford routed Kenwood, 49-6, as did Catonsville, Towson, 37-6.

Fleming rushed for 90 yards, and, defensively, had an interception. Greene rushed for 87 yards, made eight tackles and had 1.5 sacks. Jones had three sacks, Emery Pressman had 3.5 sacks and caused a fumble, and
Josh Sherer had 2.5 sacks.

Also playing well was Montarius Studivant, with an interception as the Indians clinched a playoff berth, and, with it, a chance to defend the Class 3A North Region crown the won last season.

The Indians, last year, had their best season in school history, reaching the Class 3A state semifinals and finishing with a 10-3 record.
