MILFORD MILL WINS, TIED FOR FIRST WITH WOODLAWN

Junior guard Xavier Drake and senior forward Christopher Code each scored 14 points as Milford Mill moved into a tie for first with a 67-58 victory over Perry Hall in a Baltimore County 3A/4A boys’ basketball contest on Ebenezer Road Friday evening.

Kevin Fulton added 12 points for the Millers (10-8 overall, 8-1 in 3A/4A), who are tied with No. 8 Woodlawn with two games remaining. If a tie, Woodlawn would advance to the county title game based on its victory over Milford Mill in January. The Warriors finish their regular season with home league matches with Kenwood Wednesday and Friday against Dulaney.

The Millers host Hereford Wednesday afternoon before closing the regular season at Kenwood Friday evening. Perry Hall was led by Matt Wood’s game-high 24 points and Kevin Solokis had 15. The Gators (3-16, 2-7) finish the regular season on the road at Patapsco Wednesday and Friday at Catonsville.

Dulaney 84, Kenwood 78
Junior guard Kevin Harrison scored 22 points, and senior guard Alex Frederick contributed 21 as Dulaney continued its late season run with a 3A/4A road decision at Kenwood. Senior guard Mike Lynch had 19 points for the Lions (11-9, 5-4), who scored 56 points in the second half.

Charles Taylor led all scorers with 26 points for Kenwood (8-9, 4-5), and senior guard Marcus Clennon added 19. The Lions will travel to No. 19 Parkville Wednesday while Kenwood is at No. 8 and league-leading Woodlawn.

Dulaney:
Harrison 22, Frederick 21, Lynch 19, Cowherd 9, Raspa 5, Diaz 6, Larsen 2. Totals 34 10-14 84.
Kenwood:

Dundalk 53, Catonsville 44
Travis Davis had a game-high 18 points and Kevin Watkins contributed 11, leading Dundalk past Catonsville. Jermon Bacchus had 10 points for the Owls (7-10, 4-5), who went 3-0 this week.

Sophomore guard Brandon Miles led Catonsville (3-15, 1-8) with 12 points. Dundalk hosts Towson Wednesday afternoon while the Comets are at Franklin in l3A/4A competition.

Catonsville:

Lansdowne 70, Sparrows Point 47

Dovon Fletcher scored 14 points and James Moore added 13 as Lansdowne picked up an 1A/2A road decision. Patton LaGuerre finished with 11 points for Lansdowne (4-10, 4-5), which led 29-17 at halftime.

Nick Brady had 13 points to lead Sparrows Point (5-15, 2-7). Lansdowne travels to No. 3 Randallstown Wednesday while Sparrows Point is at neighborhood rival Patapsco Monday evening for a non-divisional matchup.

New Town 64, Loch Raven 56

Kendrick Brown had 13 points and James Black added 10, leading New Town (12-7, 7-2) past Loch Raven in Owings Mills contest. Eugene Hawkins and Jordan Lee led Loch Raven (12-5, 6-3) with 19 and 18 points respectively.

The Titans, tied for second with Owings Mills in the 1A/2A, will gain a forfeit Wednesday against Chesapeake-Baltimore County, then close the regular season at home against Overlea. Loch Raven has a non-division match at Hereford Monday, then completes league play with Western Tech Wednesday afternoon, and at Sparrows Point Friday evening.

New Town: Edwards 5, Black 10, Kee 6, Clarke 4, Aderogba 4, Hutchinson 8, Brown 13, Cornish 8, McKinney 6. Totals 24 10-19 64. Halftime: New Town 32, Loch Raven 22.


Parkville 67, Towson 43

Sophomore forward/center Josh Corbett scored 13 points, and senior Jordan Jackson contributed 11 as No. 19 Parkville defeated Towson. Durand Johnson had 10 points for the Putty Hill Avenue school (14-6, 7-2) which stands second in the 3A/4A, a game behind Woodlawn and Milford Mill.

Junior guard Geoffrey Wilkes had 13 points, and senior center Mark Davis added 12 for Towson (5-12, 1-8). Parkville closes the regular season with home games against Dulaney (Wednesday) and Dundalk (Friday). Towson plays at Dundalk Wednesday, and hosts Franklin Friday evening.

Patapsco 63, Franklin 43

Micquante Greene scored a game-high 17 points and Trae Lindsay and James Buettner each contributed 11 leading Patapsco (12-6, 4-5) to a home victory. Antonious Dickey led Franklin (7-12, 3-6) with 12 points.

The Patriots host Perry Hall Wednesday in 3A/4A action, then completes their regular season at Hereford Friday evening. Franklin hosts Catonsville Wednesday, and plays at Towson Friday.

Western Tech 50, Lutheran 36
Donzel Mooney had 17 points and Patrick Gilreath contributed 15 as Western Tech (5-14) picked a non-league decison over Lutheran from the MIAA C Conference in Towson. The Wolverines return to Towson Wednesday for an 1A/2A league game with Loch Raven in its final regular season game. The Wolverines will receive forfeit Friday from Chespeake-Baltimore County.

Western Tech:
